• The Ultimate Nullifier is the only weapon known to make Galactus retreat — he abandoned his consumption of Earth when Johnny Storm brandished it
• The device requires the wielder to hold a complete mental picture of the target; failure of concentration nullifies the wielder instead
• Johnny Storm retrieved the Nullifier from Galactus's worldship Taa II on instruction from the Watcher, Uatu
• The weapon can theoretically destroy anything — up to and including abstract cosmic entities and entire realities
• Its origins are unclear — whether Galactus created it, found it, or fears it for reasons even he does not fully understand
