The Eye of Agamotto is the badge of office for the Sorcerer Supreme and one of the most potent mystical artifacts on Earth. Its primary function is the revelation of truth — when its eye opens, illusions shatter, shapeshifters are exposed, and dimensional incursions become visible to the naked eye. Doctor Strange uses it as both a diagnostic tool and a weapon, sweeping its light across battlefields to identify which threats are real and which are misdirection. The Eye also serves as a focus for astral projection and can create shields against psychic attack. It chooses its wielder as much as it is chosen — the Eye has rejected sorcerers it deemed unworthy, going dormant rather than serving someone who falls short of Agamotto's standards. When Wong has occasion to handle it, he does so with the reverence of a man handling a live grenade that also happens to be sacred.
A gold amulet in the shape of a stylized eye, worn on a chain or clasped to the Cloak of Levitation at the throat. When closed, it appears as an ornate golden disc with concentric ring designs. When activated, the central eye opens to reveal a brilliant white-gold light that is painful to look at for beings concealing their true nature. The light cuts through all forms of magical disguise and dimensional cloaking.
