Item from Marvel Comics by Marvel Entertainment
A containment matrix shaped like a perfect cube, housing a sliver of the Beyonders' power. Whoever holds it can reshape reality according to their will — and reality reshapes them in return.
The Cosmic Cube is one of the most dangerous objects in the Marvel Universe precisely because it does exactly what its wielder wants — and most wielders do not truly understand what they want. A.I.M. created the first cube as a containment vessel for extradimensional energy, and the Red Skull used it to reshape portions of reality before losing control. The cube has a consciousness — multiple cubes have eventually evolved into sentient beings, most notably Kubik and the Shaper of Worlds. This means the cube is not a passive tool but a developing entity that learns from its wielders, for better or worse. Thanos has held it. The Red Skull has held it. Even Captain America has been forced to use one. Every wielder discovers the same truth: the Cosmic Cube grants wishes, but it interprets them literally, and the gap between what you say and what you mean can destroy everything.
A translucent cube roughly six inches across, glowing with an inner light that shifts between electric blue and white. Its surfaces are perfectly smooth and seem to contain depths far greater than its physical dimensions. When activated, the light intensifies and reality visibly warps in the cube's vicinity — colors shift, gravity fluctuates, and the air tastes of ozone and possibility.
