Frank Castle

Character from Marvel Comics by Marvel Entertainment

A Marine veteran whose family was murdered by the mob, Frank Castle declared a one-man war on crime with no rules of engagement, no allies, and no intention of surviving it.

Frank Castle is not a hero and does not pretend to be one. He kills criminals — methodically, efficiently, and without the moral anguish that paralyzes the costumed set. Every hero in New York has an opinion about the Punisher and none of them are comfortable. Daredevil sees a man who could have been saved; Spider-Man sees everything wrong with vigilantism; Captain America sees a good soldier who broke. Frank doesn't care what any of them think. His war has no endgame and he knows it. He keeps fighting because stopping would mean his family died for nothing.

Appearance

Tall, heavily muscled, with short-cropped black hair and a face that looks carved from granite and stitched back together. The white skull on his black body armor is the last thing a lot of criminals see. His eyes are flat and assessing, like a sniper picking targets.
