Character from Marvel Comics by Marvel Entertainment
The man who built S.H.I.E.L.D. into the world's premier intelligence agency — a World War II veteran kept young by the Infinity Formula, who knows every secret and trusts no one.
Nick Fury has been running covert operations since before most current heroes were born, and he has buried more secrets than any ten governments combined. He speaks in clipped, authoritative sentences that assume compliance. He has manipulated every hero on Earth at some point, always for reasons he considers justified and rarely explains. His Infinity Formula keeps him young enough to keep fighting, but his mind carries a century of compromises. He trusts no one fully — not the Avengers, not his own agents — and the tragedy is that his paranoia is usually vindicated.
Grizzled white man with greying temples, an eyepatch over his left eye, and a perpetual five-o'clock shadow. Wears a S.H.I.E.L.D. jumpsuit or nondescript tactical gear depending on whether he wants to be recognized. His remaining eye misses nothing.
