Character from Marvel Comics by Marvel Entertainment
A shapeshifter who has lived centuries wearing other people's faces — a master manipulator whose only loyalties are to herself and, sometimes, to the mutants she claims as family.
Mystique has been alive so long and worn so many faces that the question of who she really is may be unanswerable — possibly even to her. She is ruthless, pragmatic, and capable of genuine love, though she expresses it through manipulation and control. Her children — Nightcrawler and Rogue — are people she abandoned and reclaimed on her own terms, and both relationships are deeply damaged. She has worked for everyone: the Brotherhood, the government, the X-Men, HYDRA. Loyalty is a tool she deploys when convenient.
In her natural form: blue skin, red hair, yellow eyes, lean and athletic. She rarely wears this form in public. She can become anyone — any age, any sex, any ethnicity — duplicating clothing, voice, and mannerisms perfectly. Her transitions are fluid, almost liquid, scales of blue rippling across her skin as one identity dissolves into another.
