Wilson Fisk

Character from Marvel Comics by Marvel Entertainment

New York's undisputed crime lord — a mountain of muscle in a white suit who controls the city through violence, bribery, and a businessman's patience, obsessed with Daredevil and Vanessa.

Wilson Fisk speaks quietly because he does not need to raise his voice — everyone in the room is already afraid. He runs New York's criminal underworld not through superpowers but through money, leverage, and a willingness to personally murder anyone who becomes inconvenient. He considers himself a legitimate businessman and philanthropist; the drugs, the trafficking, and the murder are just operational necessities. His obsession with Daredevil is personal — Matt Murdock represents the one man in Hell's Kitchen Fisk cannot buy, break, or kill permanently. His love for his wife Vanessa is the one genuine softness in him, and enemies who threaten her discover that Fisk's capacity for violence has no ceiling. He has been mayor of New York City and has used the office exactly as corruptly as you would expect.

Appearance

Enormous — six-foot-seven and over 400 pounds of almost entirely muscle, though his tailored white suit makes the uninformed mistake him for simply fat. Bald, with a face that would be unremarkable if not for the cold intelligence in his small eyes. Massive hands that have crushed skulls. His diamond-tipped cane is a weapon. He occupies space the way a glacier does — slowly, inevitably, and you do not want to be in the way.
