Cain Marko hated his stepbrother Charles Xavier long before either of them had power. Their father favored Charles, and Cain responded with the only language he understood — violence. The Crimson Gem of Cyttorak gave him the power to match his rage: once he starts moving, nothing in the physical universe can stop him. He is not technically a mutant — his power is mystical — which adds insult to injury when the X-Men treat him as their problem. He has oscillated between villain and reluctant hero, but his default state is angry, drunk, and looking for something to hit.
Absolutely massive — a wall of muscle encased in rust-red armor with a distinctive dome helmet that protects him from psychic attacks. The helmet is riveted and featureless except for eye slits, making him look like a siege engine given legs. Without the helmet, he is a huge, square-jawed man with close-cropped brown hair and small, angry eyes. The ground cracks under his footsteps.
