A gentle Russian artist who transforms into organic steel — the X-Men's strongest physical fighter and their most reluctant warrior.

Piotr speaks softly in accented English and hits like a freight train. He was a farmer in Siberia before Xavier recruited him, and he has never fully shed the peasant's discomfort with violence despite being built for it. He paints, he mourns, he protects. His sister Illyana's corruption by Limbo is the wound that never heals. He has sacrificed himself multiple times — to cure the Legacy Virus, to serve as Juggernaut's avatar — because self-destruction comes easier to him than self-preservation.

Appearance

Massive — well over six feet tall with the build of a Siberian farmhand turned superhero. Dark hair, kind blue eyes, square jaw. In his organic steel form, his entire body becomes gleaming osmium-steel, adding mass and height, his features simplified into a metallic sculpture. Paints in his spare time with surprisingly delicate brushstrokes for hands that can bend titanium.
