Coral was where the war against the Pannion Domin ended in a convergence of terrible power. The allied forces — Dujek's Host, the Tiste Andii, the Barghast, and Caladan Brood's forces — converged on the Seer's capital for a final battle that killed Whiskeyjack, broke Moon's Spawn, and revealed the Pannion Seer as a vessel for a Jaghut child's grief weaponized into madness. Anomander Rake crashed Moon's Spawn into the city to bury the Seer's power, destroying both the fortress and himself as its lord. The act ended the war but created Black Coral — a city reshaped by Kurald Galain's darkness, where the Tiste Andii would make their new home among the ruins.
A coastal city dominated by a central keep, now half-buried under the rubble of Moon's Spawn's final descent. The harbor is choked with debris. The Pannion Seer's citadel was obliterated, and the surrounding districts show the scars of converging armies — Malazan, Tiste Andii, Barghast, and worse.
