Character from Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson
Young Tiste Andii warrior who plays board games in taverns and carries absolute loyalty to Anomander Rake in his heart.
Spinnock Durav is young by Tiste Andii reckoning — merely a few thousand years old. He passes his time in the taverns of Black Coral playing kef tanar (a strategy board game) with mortals and drinking with genuine enjoyment. But beneath the affable exterior lies a warrior of extraordinary skill and devotion. When Anomander Rake asked him to hold a position, Spinnock fought without question or complaint, because his lord's word was all the reason he needed.
Handsome by Tiste Andii standards, dark-skinned with an easy smile that belies his age. Dresses simply, favoring tavern clothes over armor when he can. Moves with a warrior's grace he tries to downplay.
