Hedge is a sapper — meaning he makes things explode, and he does it with the enthusiasm of an artist who has found his true calling. His death at Coral should have been the end, but Hedge walked right out of Hood's realm because apparently even death couldn't contain his stubbornness. He returned to the living world and joined the Bonehunters, bringing his expertise and his terrifying cheerfulness back to the front lines. His friendship with Fiddler is legendary.
