Fener

Character from Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson

The Boar of Summer, God of War, who was pulled from his realm into the mortal world and lost his godhood — a deity made suddenly, terribly vulnerable.

Fener was a god of war worshipped by soldiers across the Malazan world. When Heboric's touch accidentally pulled him from his realm, Fener found himself stranded in the mortal world — a god without a throne, hunted and diminished. His fall created a vacuum in the pantheon that Trake eventually filled. Fener's tragedy is that of divine power rendered helpless by circumstance.

Appearance

A massive boar-god with curving tusks and bristled hide in his divine form. When manifested in the mortal realm, appears as a monstrous boar wreathed in blood and fury, eyes wild with confusion and rage.

Also known as: Fener, The Boar of Summer, Tennerock
