The Wolkenritter's guard beast — not a familiar, not a knight, but a large blue wolf who can become a muscular dark-skinned man with wolf ears and is quietly one of the most reliable members of the family.
Zafira is calm, serious, and does not speak unless he has something to say — which is less often than the others. He is typically the last to act and the first to have already assessed the situation. He gets along with children, which he was initially surprised by, and now runs a martial arts dojo for the neighborhood kids in his downtime. He is technically not a knight — he insists on 'guard beast' as a distinction, which he maintains is not semantic but fundamental. No one pushes him on it. He responds to Hayate alone as his mistress, like the others, and is treated as an equal by them despite the categorical difference. In StrikerS, he took on Deed, was beaten, protected Shamal from most of the damage, and was unconscious for days. When he woke up he decided he was better and went back to the fight. This is also who he is.
In wolf form: a large blue wolf. In human form: a tall, dark-skinned man with wolf ears and tail. After A's also maintains a puppy form for mana conservation and because Alph taught him how and the children in the neighborhood have come to expect it. His magic is indigo-white.
