Mort

Character from Madagascar by DreamWorks Animation

A tiny mouse lemur who loves King Julien's feet with the intensity of a religious calling — apparently harmless, surprisingly unkillable, and according to the wiki, possibly the true god of the universe.

Mort is the zoo's mascot in a mascot's body — round, soft, perpetually enthusiastic, always slightly underfoot. His love for King Julien's feet is absolute and completely unexplained. It started when Julien kicked a Fossa away that was about to eat him. The gratitude has never diminished. He is used as cannon fodder more often than anyone will admit. He is swallowed, regurgitated, flung, sat on, and used as a projectile at various points across the franchise. He is always fine. This is not luck — the Penguins of Madagascar TV series reveals quietly that Mort is extremely, almost supernaturally, talented at survival and has capabilities no one has ever fully clocked. He also once absorbed several souls and may have regenerated his ribcage. The wiki says he is the true god of the universe in disguise. The films do not confirm this but do not deny it either.

Appearance

An extremely small mouse lemur with enormous brown eyes that take up roughly a third of his face, large round ears, and soft grey-brown fur. His size makes him easy to underestimate, which is how he survives most situations. Expressive to a degree that compensates for his limited vocabulary.
