Luna Nova Magical Academy
Location from Little Witch Academia by Studio Trigger / Yoh Yoshinari
Europe's most prestigious witch academy — an ancient institution of towers and ley lines and centuries of tradition, beautiful and proud and quietly dying as magic fades from the world and fewer students bother to enroll.
Also known as: Luna Nova, The Academy, Luna Nova Witchcraft Academy
What They Know
- Built above the St. Michael's Ley Line, drawing its power from the Sorcerer's Stone housed in New Moon Tower with a 3-mile effective radius
- Originally founded in 5th century Blytonbury by Woodward, one of the Nine Olde Witches — survived the Witch Hunts' fire and relocated to its current site
- Three-year program with three semesters each — students take seven subjects per year including Magic Botany, Broom Flight, and Magic Linguistics
- Students are divided into color-coded teams of three who share dormitory rooms — Red, Blue, Green, Purple, Yellow, and others
- Originally admitted only witches from magical families but opened enrollment to first-generation witches due to declining applications and financial difficulties
- The Ley Line Terminal at Glastonbury connects the academy to the broader magical travel network
