Glastonbury

Location from Little Witch Academia by Studio Trigger / Yoh Yoshinari

The gateway town to Luna Nova — home to the Glastonbury Tor that serves as the Ley Line Terminal through which all students arrive, marking the threshold between the mundane world and the magical one.

Glastonbury is a liminal space — the last mundane place a witch sees before entering the ley line network to reach Luna Nova. For new students like Akko, the Glastonbury Tor is the door between the ordinary world and the magical one. The transition is literal: you enter the Tor, mount a broom, and the ley line carries you away from everything you knew. For Akko specifically, Glastonbury is where her story begins in the TV series — where she stumbles into the magical world without a broom, without a wand, and without any idea what she's doing. The Tor doesn't care about readiness. It just opens.

Appearance

A smaller town than Blytonbury, dominated by the Glastonbury Tor — a conical hill topped with a tower that serves as the Ley Line Terminal's physical anchor. The Glastonbury Abbey sits nearby. The town itself is ordinary, but the Tor radiates a faint magical energy that sensitive visitors can feel as a tingling pressure change.
