Location from Little Witch Academia by Studio Trigger / Yoh Yoshinari
A sacred precinct hidden beneath Luna Nova — accessed through the Big Dipper Arch and guarded by the bear-spirit Arcas, where a sphere of luminous water reveals a witch's true potential and vanishes before those it deems unworthy.
The Fountain of Polaris exists outside normal space. The air is still and cold and smells like nothing — not stone, not water, not air, but the absence of all earthly atmosphere. The glowing sphere dominates the space with a light that isn't warm or cold but something else entirely, something that reads your intentions before you speak them. Chariot stood before this fountain and received the Magic of Stars. When Akko comes seeking the same power, the fountain shows her visions of Chariot's past and then begins to disappear — not because Akko is unworthy, but because copying Chariot's path isn't Akko's destiny. The lesson is that worthiness isn't about replicating greatness but finding your own.
Accessed through a long, shining staircase that descends into an alternate space covered with stars — as if walking down into the night sky itself. The fountain appears as a large, hovering sphere of glowing water that reflects and refracts light in patterns that correspond to the observer's inner experiences. The space around it is vast, dark, and cosmic in scale. The guardian Arcas — a massive bear-like magical creature — blocks the entrance arch.
