Mephistopheles

Location from Limbus Company by Project Moon

The Limbus Company bus -- a red-and-gray Enkephalin-powered vehicle with a hidden shredder, a sentient-seeming personality, and a Backdoor corridor leading to the Sinners' rooms.

Mephistopheles is transport, mobile base, habitation, and weapon rolled into one. It runs on Enkephalin, extracted through a hidden shredder on its side that consumes defeated enemies. It can convert into a 'busboat' form for water travel, gaining a gray hull with red trim and a ship's wheel. Multiple characters speak about Mephistopheles as if it were alive -- Charon calls it 'hungry' when low on fuel and 'hurt' when damaged. The bus collects keepsakes from each Canto: Yuri's gas mask, Rodion's poker chips, a Bongy plushie, a picture of the League of Nine, Queequeg's rope, heath flowers from Wuthering Heights. It is considered 'defiled' by N Corp Inquisitors. Built by Faust from stolen T Corp blueprints, named after the demon in Goethe's Faust -- the one who leads Faust into damnation.

Appearance

A rectangular four-wheeled bus with barred windows and a front resembling a steam locomotive's smokebox, complete with chimney and cowcatcher bumper. Primarily red and dark gray with silver wavelike accents. 'LIMBUS COMPANY' in all caps on the sides, 'LIMBUS' on the front. The interior features red seating, grab handles, and a driver's cab decorated by Charon. An ornate rear doorway opens to the Backdoor -- a softly lit corridor with red-and-gold carpeting and wooden doors to each Sinner's room, stanchioned off with velvet ropes. Beyond the first eight doors, the corridors branch into a complex labyrinth.
