The District is home to inventors and creatives, but has been wracked by mysterious kidnappings and an overwhelming fog. T Corp's enforcement includes color suppression -- everything appears in monochrome, which Yi Sang noted as an attempt to erase individuality. This is where Wuthering Heights is located, where Heathcliff grew up with the Earnshaws, and where Canto VI: The Heartbreaking takes place. The League of Nine Litterateurs also had significant connections here through Yi Sang's time as a T Corp researcher.
The Backstreets feature steampunk aesthetics with inventors and creatives populating workshops and laboratories. T Corp enforces a monochrome filter over the District, stripping color and individuality from its residents. An overwhelming fog obscures the streets. The Nest operates with clinical precision around time-related technology, while Wuthering Heights and the Dead Rabbits Syndicate influence the cultural landscape.
