Calw was a town within K Corp's District 11 Nest, famous for its prosthetic technology and Sinclair's affluent family estate. Sinclair grew up sheltered here, attending school where he met both Kromer and Demian. When Kromer joined N Corp's Inquisition, she returned to destroy everything -- killing Sinclair's family, burning the estate, and using the basement as a facility for creating Corroded Inquisitors. The Golden Bough in Branch K-02 resonated with Kromer rather than Sinclair, creating a domain of endless corpse-hills. Named after the real German town of Calw, birthplace of Hermann Hesse who wrote 'Demian.'
