Charon

Character from Limbus Company by Project Moon

The strange, laconic bus driver of Mephistopheles -- formerly Lapis, an orphan girl whose personality was overwritten by a Mirror World identity.

Charon says little, and what she says is blunt and brief. She refers to herself in third person, uses childish phrases like 'vroom-vroom' and 'shimmy-shaky,' and treats Mephistopheles as a living being -- calling it 'hungry' when low on fuel and 'hurt' when damaged. She exists in her own world and has proven repeatedly that she is not afraid of any Sinner. Formerly Lapis, a headstrong orphan raised in Vergilius' orphanage and childhood friend of Garnet. The Ring's experiments with the Glass Window overwrote Lapis' personality with an Identity from another Mirror World, trapping 'Charon' in Lapis' body. Vergilius joined Limbus Company specifically to restore the real Lapis. Named after the mythological ferryman of the dead who carries souls across the River Styx -- and Charon drives the dead through a City that is its own kind of hell.

Appearance

A short girl with grayish skin, droopy gray eyes with a vacant look, and silver hair with bangs tied into two thin floor-length twintails. She wears church-like attire: an ankle-length long-sleeved grayish-green dress and a tall brimless hat with silver rims and dark cross murals. Black boots, black gloves, two silver-buckled belts. She carries a black square-type oar.
