Carmen

Character from Limbus Company by Project Moon

A dead scientist whose voice still whispers from within the Light -- guiding City residents toward Distortion or E.G.O. with the tenderness of a cult leader.

Carmen was a scientist obsessed with curing humanity's 'disease of the mind' through Cogito research. Her grip on the hearts of those around her was so absolute that it shaped the entire trajectory of Lobotomy Corporation, Library of Ruina, and now Limbus Company. She is depicted as intensely dedicated and hopeful -- but also eerily controlling, once telling a colleague that no matter how great he may be, he would always be in the palm of her hand. After her death and the establishment of Lobotomy Corporation, Carmen took a place within the Light. She now acts as a charming, formless voice that whispers to City residents, claiming she only wants them to be true to themselves -- while her methods consistently lead targets into amplified suffering and uncontrollable violence through Distortion. She narrates Sinner Identity Stories, calling each subject 'child.' Her true nature is as formless as her voice.

Appearance

A woman with long, choppy dark grayish-green hair tied back in a ponytail, adorned with a childish red bear hairclip called 'Kkomi.' She wears an olive-green collared dress with four buttons, a black miniskirt underneath, and a white lab coat draping past her knees. Her shoes match her dress with darker tones at the toe and heel.
