COEX K-Pop Square

Location from KPop Demon Hunters by Maggie Kang & Chris Appelhans

Gangnam's massive 3D billboard plaza — where HUNTR/X's comeback teasers light up the sky and sixty thousand phones record simultaneously.

COEX K-Pop Square is where the industry makes its public declarations — comeback announcements, chart milestones, fan celebrations. When HUNTR/X's new single teaser drops on the massive 3D screen, the crowd's collective excitement is almost tangible. In this world, that tangibility is literal: concentrated fan emotion radiates spiritual energy that strengthens the Honmoon. When the Saja Boys' content starts appearing on the same screen, the plaza becomes contested territory — two fandoms generating competing energy, one feeding the barrier and one feeding Gwi-Ma.

Appearance

A vast open plaza in the heart of Gangnam dominated by a massive curved LED screen famous for its crashing wave illusion. At night, the billboard turns the entire square into a wash of color. Surrounding buildings reflect the light, and crowds gather at all hours to watch the latest K-pop content displayed on the screen. The scale is deliberately overwhelming — designed to make you feel small in front of something larger than life.
