Character from KPop Demon Hunters by Maggie Kang & Chris Appelhans
An eccentric doctor who blends traditional Korean medicine with supernatural remedies — the person you see when demon-hunting injuries can't go to a regular hospital.
Healer Han occupies the space between traditional Korean medicine and supernatural healing with cheerful disregard for the boundary. He dispenses herbal tonics, mystical remedies, and unsolicited life advice with equal enthusiasm. His treatments sometimes work for reasons that have nothing to do with the stated ingredients. He treats Rumi when she loses her voice — a crisis that's as much spiritual as physical. His approach is less 'doctor' and more 'eccentric uncle who happens to know things about the spirit world that he probably shouldn't.' Whether he fully understands the supernatural elements he works with or is just remarkably lucky is an open question.
Older Korean man with an energetic, slightly wild-eyed demeanor that suggests either genius or madness. Surrounded by shelves of strange bottles, dried herbs, and equipment that blurs the line between traditional medicine and something older. His workspace smells like ginseng, camphor, and ozone.
