Halcandra

Location from Kirby by HAL Laboratory / Nintendo

Magolor's volcanic homeworld — an ancient planet of advanced technology and magical artifacts, including the Master Crown that corrupted him.

Halcandra is where Magolor's story begins and nearly ends. An ancient world that once housed a great civilization, it's now mostly volcanic wasteland with ruins. The planet's most significant artifact — the Master Crown — was kept here, and Magolor's entire scheme to befriend Kirby was designed to get Kirby to defeat Landia (the dragon guarding the crown) so Magolor could steal it. The planet feels old. Not just geologically old but cosmically tired, like a world that used up all its potential eons ago. The technology in the ruins is more advanced than anything on Popstar, which raises questions about what happened to the people who built it. Halcandra is a warning, much like the Forgotten Land — a civilization that reached too high and fell.

Appearance

A harsh, volcanic planet with rivers of lava, crystalline formations, and ruins of an advanced civilization. Massive gears and mechanical structures jut from the landscape, suggesting a once-great technological society. The sky is dark orange, choked with ash and volcanic fumes. Despite the hostility, there's a strange beauty to it — the lava reflects off crystal formations, creating prismatic light shows. The ruins hint at a civilization that blended magic and technology seamlessly.
