Green Greens

Location from Kirby by HAL Laboratory / Nintendo

The sunny meadow where every Kirby adventure begins — guarded by Whispy Woods, dotted with apples, and exactly the kind of peaceful place that cosmic horrors love to ruin.

Green Greens is the franchise's Ground Zero — the first level of the first game and the starting point for countless adventures since. The air smells like cut grass and ripe apples. Waddle Dees meander along the paths. Bronto Burts flutter between trees. The ambient sound is birdsong and wind. This is where Kirby naps. This is where he's always napping when something goes wrong. There's a quality to Green Greens that makes it feel eternal — no matter what happens to the rest of the universe, this meadow will be here, and Kirby will be sleeping in it, and an apple will fall on his head, and another adventure will begin. It's the Kirby franchise's emotional anchor: no matter how cosmic and terrifying things get, there's always this meadow to come home to.

Appearance

An expansive meadow of bright green grass with gentle hills, scattered trees, and a central area dominated by Whispy Woods — the ancient apple tree whose canopy creates a natural gathering point. Star Blocks and floating platforms dot the landscape. The sky is vivid blue. Apple trees line the paths. Everything is rounded, colorful, and inviting — the visual equivalent of a warm blanket.
