Leongar

Character from Kirby by HAL Laboratory / Nintendo

The noble king of the Beast Pack, mind-controlled into serving the very entity that destroyed his civilization — a puppet leader fighting against his own people's rescuer.

Leongar was once the legitimate leader of the Beast Pack — wise, protective, and devoted to his people. When Fecto Forgo awakened in Lab Discovera and reached out with its psychic tendrils, Leongar was the first to fall. Now he serves as the enforcer of the very entity that's enslaving his people, commanding them to capture Waddle Dees and gather energy for Fecto Forgo's resurrection. The tragedy is that Leongar is still in there. In his boss fight, there are moments where the control wavers — flickers of confusion, hesitation, a growl that sounds more like grief than aggression. He's watching himself do terrible things and can't stop. When Kirby finally defeats him and the psychic hold breaks, Leongar collapses not from injury but from the weight of everything he was forced to do.

Appearance

A massive bipedal lion with a dark mane streaked with purple, standing upright in regal but tattered clothing. His eyes glow with an unnatural violet light — the mark of Fecto Forgo's psychic control. Clawed hands grip weapons with a warrior's confidence. His frame is powerful but there's something wrong in how he moves — too rigid, too purposeful, as if someone else is pulling the strings. In brief moments when the control slips, his eyes clear to a warm amber.
