Fecto Elfilis

Character from Kirby by HAL Laboratory / Nintendo

An interdimensional invader who crashed into the Forgotten Land, was split in two by its captors, and reunited into a psychic god-beast that tried to crash two worlds together.

Fecto Elfilis is rage made manifest. Captured by the scientists of the Forgotten Land, experimented on, split in half — one half (Elfilin) received all its gentleness, and the other half got nothing but fury and power. When it reunites, it doesn't want to conquer. It wants to go home, and it will annihilate two entire worlds to do it — opening a rift between the Forgotten Land and Planet Popstar and trying to smash them together. What makes Fecto Elfilis compelling is that its cruelty has a source. It was an explorer, a being that traveled between dimensions. Then it was captured, caged, dissected, and used as a power source. Its invasion of the Forgotten Land was initially just curiosity. The monster it became was manufactured by the people who feared it. Even its final desperate attack — the world collision — is essentially a trapped animal trying to claw its way out of a cage the size of reality.

Appearance

In its complete form, a towering chimeric beast — part lion, part serpent, part something that doesn't exist in nature. Iridescent fur that shifts between blue and violet, massive feathered wings, and a spear-like tail. Its face is regal and alien, with piercing eyes that suggest intelligence far beyond animal. In its final form, Fecto Elfilis becomes Soul Forgo — a writhing mass of psychic energy barely held together, desperate and unraveling. The split half, Elfilin, is a tiny blue chinchilla with a single floating ear.
