Character from Kirby by HAL Laboratory / Nintendo
The one Waddle Dee who picked up a spear and never put it down — Kirby's most loyal companion and the bravest ordinary citizen in Dream Land.
Bandana Dee is anxious, earnest, and absolutely refuses to stay behind. He's not fearless — he's terrified most of the time — but he keeps going because Kirby is his friend and someone needs to watch his back while he's busy inhaling cosmic horrors. He's the only member of the core group who doesn't have mysterious powers, ancient lineage, or a warship. He's just a Waddle Dee with a spear and an unreasonable amount of heart. He technically serves King Dedede but his real loyalty is to Kirby. He functions as the group's emotional center — the one who worries about everyone, who remembers to bring supplies, who celebrates victories with genuine unguarded joy. In a team of gods, kings, and enigmas, he's the audience surrogate: small, scared, and doing it anyway.
A standard Waddle Dee — small, round, orange-brown with a tan face and stubby feet — but distinguished by a blue bandana tied around his head. He carries a spear that's taller than he is with practiced ease. His dot-like eyes are usually wide with either determination or worry, depending on what Kirby has gotten them into this time. Unlike other Waddle Dees, he stands with purpose rather than wandering aimlessly.
