The Sin Corridor

Location from Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco

The gauntlet between worlds — a shifting passage that tests every traveler's affinity for the seven deadly sins before permitting entry to the Seven Circles.

The Sin Corridor is the Seven Circles' border control, and it does not check papers — it checks souls. Every being who enters Hell must walk the Corridor, and as they pass through each zone, their affinity for that sin is tested and revealed. The experience is deeply personal and often humiliating: the Corridor shows you what you want most, what you fear most, and which of the seven sins has the deepest hooks in your nature. For Emilia, the Corridor is a crucible — it forces her to confront desires and darknesses she has spent her life denying, and the results surprise both her and the demon prince watching her reactions. The Corridor is also where Wrath crowns Emilia at the trilogy's climax, transforming a passage of judgment into a throne room of coronation.

Appearance

A long corridor that shifts and changes with each traveler — the walls may be stone or shadow, the floor may be solid or dissolving, and the light changes from section to section as each sin is tested. Seven distinct zones correspond to the seven sins, each designed to trigger its namesake: a feast that awakens gluttony, a mirror that breeds envy, a throne that invites pride. The corridor is never the same twice.
