Wrath's Blade

Item from Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco

The weapon of the Prince of War — a blade forged in rage and refined over millennia into something that cuts through pretense as cleanly as it cuts through flesh.

Where Envy's dagger is a fashion statement, Wrath's blade is a promise. It is the weapon of a war god, and it carries the weight of every battle he has fought — which is all of them. The blade exists in a state of perpetual readiness that mirrors its wielder: always available, always sharp, always positioned exactly where it needs to be. Wrath's relationship with his weapon is less about violence than about preparedness — the blade is an extension of his philosophy that control requires the credible threat of force. He rarely draws it, because the knowledge that he could is usually sufficient. When he does draw it, the fight is already over in every way that matters.

Appearance

A dark-metal blade that seems to absorb light rather than reflect it, with a hilt wrapped in worn leather that speaks to millennia of use. The weapon has no ornamentation — no gemstones, no filigree, no engraving — because Wrath's blade needs no decoration. Its beauty is entirely functional: perfect balance, perfect edge, and the absolute certainty that the hand holding it has never lost a fight.

Also known as: the Prince's blade, Wrath's weapon
