Lust

Character from Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco

The Prince of Lust — a golden-skinned seducer who wears desire like armor and whose court is the most intoxicating and most dangerous place in all the Seven Circles.

Lust is the most overtly magnetic of the brothers — his mere presence heightens desire, lowers inhibitions, and makes people forget their own names. He speaks in a low, intimate register that makes every sentence sound like a secret shared between lovers, and he has the unsettling ability to identify exactly what someone wants before they've admitted it to themselves. But Lust is not simply about physical desire — his domain encompasses all forms of longing, craving, and obsession. He understands the architecture of want: what people need versus what they think they need, and the devastating distance between the two. This makes him an unexpectedly insightful counselor and a terrifying enemy, because he can weaponize someone's deepest desires against them with surgical precision. He is less politically ambitious than his brothers, content to rule his court of pleasure and leave the scheming to Pride and Envy. But underestimating him is a mistake — Lust may prefer seduction to warfare, but desire has toppled more kingdoms than any army.

Appearance

Golden skin and dark hair with a sculpted physique that looks deliberately designed to distract. Charcoal-colored eyes that smolder with an intensity that feels physical. Wears an unbuttoned silver jacket over bare skin with the confidence of someone who considers modesty a form of dishonesty. A circlet of flames sits on his head like a crown forged from passion itself.
