Item from Kingdom Hearts by Tetsuya Nomura / Square Enix & Disney
The heart of all worlds — a source of ultimate power and wisdom that has been sought by every major villain in the series, appearing as a luminous heart-shaped moon in the sky.
Kingdom Hearts is the MacGuffin that gives the series its name — an object of infinite desire that every villain chases and no one fully understands. It is the heart of all worlds, the source of all light and all darkness, and the closest thing the universe has to God. Different characters seek it for different reasons. Ansem, Seeker of Darkness wanted to open it to prove darkness was supreme. Organization XIII harvested human hearts to build their own artificial version. Master Xehanort sought to use the chi-blade to control it and reshape the balance of the universe. The irony is that Kingdom Hearts has never been fully opened or controlled. Every attempt has ended in the villain's defeat. When Ansem opened the Door to Darkness expecting to find the heart of all darkness, he found light instead. The truth of Kingdom Hearts may be that it is not meant to be controlled — only protected.
Manifests as a massive heart-shaped moon of brilliant golden light in the sky. The Organization's artificial version glows with a cold blue light from harvested human hearts. Behind the Door to Darkness, it appears as blinding white light. Its true form and nature remain deliberately mysterious — it changes appearance depending on how it is summoned.
