The Whirlwind Lancer — Organization XIII's wind-wielding dragoon who commands six floating lances and attempted to turn the Beast into a Heartless through despair.
Xaldin is the Organization's psychological warfare specialist. Unlike members who rely on brute force or deception, Xaldin targets emotions — specifically despair. He spent extended time at Beast's Castle methodically destroying the Beast's hope and love for Belle, trying to generate enough negative emotion to turn him into a powerful Heartless. He fights with terrifying acrobatics, using wind to float through the air while six lances spiral around him in lethal patterns. He is one of the most challenging boss fights in Kingdom Hearts II, and the only Organization member to be permanently destroyed in a Disney world. His original self was Dilan, one of the guards of Radiant Garden alongside Aeleus. He was restored after his destruction and resumed his duties in the rebuilt Radiant Garden.
A broad-shouldered man with black dreadlocks that flair dramatically in the wind, violet eyes, bushy eyebrows, thick sideburns, and stretched earlobes with hoop piercings. He controls six lances simultaneously using wind magic, carrying some and levitating the rest.
