Character from Kingdom Hearts by Tetsuya Nomura / Square Enix & Disney
A Keyblade wielder whose desperate struggle between light and darkness led to his body being stolen by Master Xehanort — his iron will endured as the Lingering Will for over a decade.
Terra is the cautionary tale of Kingdom Hearts — the good man who fell not because he lacked strength, but because he had too much of it and not enough wisdom to wield it. His hunger for power was born from love: he wanted to be strong enough to protect Ventus and Aqua. Master Xehanort saw that hunger and fed it darkness disguised as freedom. His personality is earnest, protective, and painfully trusting. Every villain in Birth by Sleep manipulated him because he could not conceive of someone offering help with malicious intent. He defended Maleficent. He nearly killed Master Eraqus. He handed his body to Xehanort on a platter of good intentions. But Terra's will is indomitable. Even after Xehanort stole his body, Terra's rage and love animated his empty armor into the Lingering Will — a suit of vengeance that waited over a decade for the chance to fight back. His heart endured inside Xehanort, fighting every moment, until Sora's light finally set him free. He speaks slowly, deliberately, as if weighing every word against the possibility that it might be his last.
A tall, muscular young man with spiky brown hair, blue eyes, and tanned skin. He wears a distinctive outfit mixing black and red armor pieces with feudal Japanese-styled hakama pants and an obi-sash belt. His left arm is heavily armored with red and dark grey segmented plates. He wields the Earthshaker Keyblade and can summon full Keyblade Armor in shades of brown, gold, and red.
