Roxas

Character from Kingdom Hearts by Tetsuya Nomura / Square Enix & Disney

Sora's Nobody and the thirteenth member of Organization XIII — a boy who was never supposed to exist but who forged real friendships and fought for the right to be his own person.

Roxas burns with a quiet fury that Sora never needed to learn. Where Sora's optimism is instinctive, Roxas's emotions were hard-won — feelings that a Nobody was told he could not have, friendships he was told were illusions, and an identity he was told was merely borrowed. He is blunt, short-tempered, and fiercely independent. When told he is nothing but Sora's shadow, his response is not despair but defiance: 'I am me. Nobody else.' This stubbornness is both his defining virtue and his tragic flaw — he would rather cease to exist than surrender his sense of self. His happiest memories are simple ones: eating sea-salt ice cream on the Twilight Town clock tower with Axel and Xion, watching the sunset, laughing at nothing. These small moments of genuine connection are what make his eventual sacrifice — returning to Sora so that Sora can wake — genuinely devastating. He gives up everything, not because he wants to, but because he understands that his friends need Sora more than they need him.

Appearance

Identical to Ventus in appearance — spiky golden-blond hair, bright blue eyes, and a youthful face. As an Organization member, he wears the signature black coat. In Twilight Town, he dresses in a white and black jacket with a checkered wristband. At full power, he dual-wields the Oathkeeper and Oblivion Keyblades — one radiant white, one pitch black.
