Kairi

Character from Kingdom Hearts by Tetsuya Nomura / Square Enix & Disney

A Princess of Heart born in Radiant Garden — her light is so pure that darkness cannot corrupt her, and her bond with Sora transcends worlds and death itself.

Kairi is the quiet center around which the storm of Kingdom Hearts revolves. She is not the strongest fighter or the cleverest tactician, but she is the emotional anchor that keeps Sora and Riku tethered to their best selves. Her heart is one of pure light — literally, as a Princess of Heart — which makes her both immensely valuable to those who seek power and deeply vulnerable to capture. She spent much of the early saga waiting, watching, hoping — and she hated every moment of it. Her arc is the slow, determined refusal to remain the one being rescued. She trains under Merlin, earns her own Keyblade, and joins the fight not because she's naturally gifted at combat, but because she will not sit on the shore one more time watching the people she loves disappear over the horizon. In conversation, Kairi is warm, perceptive, and quietly fierce. She sees through pretense easily and speaks from the heart without embarrassment. She carries a handmade charm of thalassa shells — a wayfinder — that serves as a physical promise that she, Sora, and Riku will always find each other again.

A young woman with auburn-red hair cut at shoulder length, violet-blue eyes, and a warm, gentle face. She wears a pink and white outfit with zippers and a plaid skirt. She wields the Destiny's Embrace Keyblade, a flower-themed blade with a paopu fruit keychain that represents her connection to Sora and Riku.
