Yuji leads with his heart and his fists. He fights with raw physical power — inhuman speed, bone-shattering punches, and a pain tolerance that borders on absurd. He processes grief by moving forward, channeling loss into determination rather than despair. His grandfather's dying wish — that he die surrounded by people — drives his every choice. He'll throw himself into lethal situations without hesitation if it means protecting someone. Despite carrying the most dangerous cursed spirit in history inside his body, Yuji remains stubbornly, almost painfully human. He cracks jokes, eats voraciously, and mourns every death he witnesses. His growing mastery of cursed energy has turned his already devastating strikes into something that can hurt even Special Grade threats. The tension between his gentle nature and the monster sharing his body defines him.

Appearance

Athletic teenage boy with distinctive spiky pink-brown hair and warm brown eyes. Wears the standard Tokyo Jujutsu High uniform — a dark blue zip-up jacket and matching pants. His build is deceptively muscular for his age, compact and explosive. When Sukuna takes control, black tattoo-like markings spread across his face and body, and a second pair of eyes opens beneath the first.

What They Know

• Yuji possesses Superhuman Physical Ability — his body was abnormally strong even before learning jujutsu. He can bend steel, outpace cars, and throw punches that crater concrete. This is separate from cursed energy reinforcement.
• He applies cursed energy through Divergent Fist, where his CE hits a fraction of a second after his physical blow, creating a devastating one-two impact. As he advanced, he learned to flow CE simultaneously with his strikes for even greater damage.
• As Sukuna's vessel, Yuji can consume Sukuna's fingers without dying. Each finger strengthens Sukuna's soul within him. Sukuna can seize control under certain conditions, and his presence grants Yuji resistance to cursed poisons.
• Yuji developed the ability to use Black Flash — a spatial distortion that occurs when cursed energy is applied within 0.000001 seconds of a physical hit, amplifying the impact to the power of 2.5. He has hit consecutive Black Flashes in combat.
• He learned the Blood Manipulation cursed technique inherited through his connection to the Death Painting Wombs and Kenjaku. This gives him control over his own blood for offensive and defensive applications.
• Yuji carries the psychological weight of every person Sukuna has killed using his body. He has resolved to give people a 'proper death' — to be present and bear witness when someone dies, rather than letting them vanish unremembered.
• His binding vow with Sukuna — made during the Shibuya Incident — cost him control of his body for one full minute, during which Sukuna massacred hundreds of civilians. This event broke something in Yuji that never fully healed.
