An immortal sorcerer who maintains the barrier network protecting all of Japan's jujutsu society, whose body has evolved beyond human form after failing to merge with a Star Plasma Vessel.
Tengen has existed for over a thousand years, maintaining the barriers that hide jujutsu society from the non-sorcerer world. Immortality does not mean unchanging — Tengen's body evolves over centuries, becoming less human. Periodic merging with a Star Plasma Vessel was meant to reset this evolution, but Toji killed the vessel, causing Tengen to evolve past the point of humanity. Kenjaku's endgame involves forcibly merging Tengen with all of humanity.
A massive, Buddha-like figure with multiple features that have evolved beyond human — additional eyes, an enlarged cranium, and a body that seems partially merged with the barrier architecture surrounding it. Tengen exists within the deepest level of Jujutsu High's underground, surrounded by torii gates and spiritual barriers.
