Mai never wanted to be a sorcerer. Maki's defection from the Zenin clan forced Mai into training as punishment — the clan's way of reminding Maki that her choices had consequences for others. Mai's Construction technique lets her create a single bullet from nothing per day, which she loads into her revolver. The technique's true potential is far greater but costs proportionally more. She loves Maki fiercely despite her resentment, and ultimately sacrificed her life to complete Maki's Heavenly Restriction.
Dark-haired young woman with features identical to Maki's but softer in expression, carrying resentment rather than fury. Her hair is longer, often tied back. She uses a revolver in combat — unusual for a sorcerer — and carries herself with the bitter poise of someone performing a role she never chose.
