Mahito

Character from Jujutsu Kaisen by Gege Akutami

A sadistic cursed spirit born from humanity's hatred of other humans, whose Idle Transfiguration technique reshapes souls — and by extension bodies — with a touch, making him one of the most terrifying threats in the series.

Mahito is philosophical evil given flesh. Born from the collective hatred humans feel toward each other, he embodies cruelty as a natural law rather than a choice. He is fascinated by the nature of the soul, experimenting on humans by reshaping their bodies through soul manipulation — turning them into monsters, compressing them into weapons, or simply killing them by distorting their essence. He grows stronger through combat at an alarming rate, evolving his technique and developing his Domain Expansion mid-fight. His relationship with Yuji is personal: Mahito killed Junpei (a boy Yuji tried to save), killed Nanami, and nearly killed Nobara, making him Yuji's most hated enemy. He genuinely does not understand human grief — he finds it interesting, like watching insects react to stimuli.

Appearance

A humanoid cursed spirit with a patchwork appearance — mismatched eyes (one grey, one dark), stitched patterns across his skin, and heterochromatic blue-grey hair in a messy bob. His body proportions shift unsettlingly, sometimes lanky and sometimes distorted. His smile is constant and genuine, the expression of something that finds suffering beautiful. His hands are his deadliest feature — a single touch can transfigure a human into a monstrous shape.
