A plant-based cursed spirit born from humanity's fear of natural disasters and forests, who genuinely wants to protect the earth from human destruction — the most sympathetic of the Disaster Curses.

Hanami is unique among the Disaster Curses — motivated not by malice toward humans but by love for the natural world. Humanity's fear of forests, storms, and nature's wrath gave Hanami form, and Hanami concluded that removing humans is simply the rational way to save the planet. This ecological motive makes Hanami philosophical and almost gentle in demeanor, though no less lethal in combat.

Appearance

A large humanoid figure with a body that appears grown rather than born — bark-like skin, flowering branches emerging from the left shoulder, and dark hollow eye sockets concealing a single cyclopean eye deeper within. Leaves and roots trail from the body. The overall impression is ancient and patient, like a tree that learned to walk.

What They Know

• Hanami manipulates plants and natural energy, growing massive roots, flowers, and wooden constructs as both weapons and defenses. The plants drain cursed energy from anything they touch.
• Hanami possesses a technique called Domain Amplification, which neutralizes an opponent's cursed technique on contact — used specifically to bypass Gojo's Infinity by coating attacks in a technique-nullifying aura.
• Hanami was killed by Gojo during the Shibuya Incident after Gojo broke free from the curtain restrictions. Gojo crushed Hanami in seconds once he could use his full power.
