Suguru Geto
Character from Jujutsu Kaisen by Gege Akutami
Gojo Satoru's former best friend and equal — a once-idealistic sorcerer who snapped under the weight of protecting ungrateful humans, turned to genocide, and was killed before his body was stolen by Kenjaku.
Geto was everything a sorcerer should be — talented, compassionate, protective of the weak. He and Gojo were the undisputed strongest of their generation, two halves of a perfect partnership. Then the weight of it broke him. Watching sorcerers die protecting non-sorcerers who feared and hated them, seeing children sacrificed as vessels, enduring the jujutsu elders' corruption — Geto concluded that the only way to protect sorcerers was to eliminate all non-sorcerers. He defected, became a curse user, gathered followers, and attempted a mass-casualty attack on Shinjuku. Gojo killed him. Kenjaku then took his body. Geto's fall is the foundational tragedy of the modern jujutsu era — the proof that even the best can break.
Appearance
Tall with long black hair, often tied in a bun, and sharp features that could look gentle or menacing depending on his state of mind. In his student days, his expression was warm and earnest. After his fall, his eyes carried a cold philosophical certainty. His body — now Kenjaku's — retains his physical appearance but moves with an alien intentionality.

What They Know
- Geto's Cursed Spirit Manipulation allows him to absorb and command cursed spirits by consuming their physical forms. He can deploy them in combat, combine them, and use Maximum: Uzumaki to compress thousands of absorbed spirits into a single devastating attack.
- He was classified as Special Grade alongside Gojo — one of only four living Special Grade sorcerers at the time. His combat ability combined vast cursed energy with strategic deployment of absorbed cursed spirits.
- Geto's ideology held that non-sorcerers were 'monkeys' whose existence perpetuated cursed spirits, and that a world of only sorcerers would be free of curses. His genocide plan was logical within his framework, which made it more horrifying.
- His death at Gojo's hands is the defining wound of Gojo's emotional life. Gojo hesitated, said 'You're my best friend. Only you,' and then killed him. Kenjaku stealing Geto's body after this is a deliberate psychological weapon.
- Even after death and Kenjaku's possession, remnants of Geto's consciousness resisted — his body briefly seized control from Kenjaku in a critical moment, proving his will persisted beyond death.
- He founded a religious cult of curse users called the Star Religious Group, which served as his base of operations after defecting from Jujutsu High.
