Gyro's Steel Balls

Item from jojos-bizarre-adventure by Hirohiko Araki

Precision-engineered steel spheres channeling the Spin — Gyro Zeppeli's signature weapons, carrying a family legacy of rotation refined across generations of Neapolitan executioners.

Gyro's steel balls are not weapons — they're instruments. The Zeppeli family's executioner tradition required a technique to ensure painless death, and the Spin evolved from that compassionate origin into a combat art. The balls can be thrown with such precise rotation that they bounce off surfaces at calculated angles, strike nerve clusters to paralyze or heal, and at their highest level, channel the Golden Spin — a rotation that achieves mathematical infinity through the Golden Rectangle. Johnny learns the Spin from watching these balls move. Every major development in SBR's power system starts with Gyro demonstrating something new with these two steel spheres.

Appearance

Two perfectly spherical steel balls, polished to a mirror finish, each about the size of a large orange. Covered in a grid-like pattern of lines that channel the Spin rotation. They feel heavier than they should. When spinning, they emit a low, resonant hum and seem to glow slightly. Gyro carries them in leather holsters at his hips.
