Item from jojos-bizarre-adventure by Hirohiko Araki
Meteorite-forged arrows that awaken Stand abilities in those they pierce — but only if the target has the strength of will to survive the transformation.
The Stand Arrows are JoJo's great equalizer — the mechanism by which ordinary people become Stand users. The meteorite metal contains a virus that, when introduced to the bloodstream, either kills the target or awakens a Stand ability that reflects their personality and fighting spirit. DIO obtained arrows through Enya the Hag, and their distribution across the world created the Stand-user population explosion that defines Parts 3-6. In Part 4, Keicho Nijimura used an arrow to create Morioh's Stand users. In Part 5, the Requiem Arrow — a special variant — can evolve existing Stands into their Requiem forms, granting powers that transcend normal Stand abilities. The arrows are the in-universe explanation for why the world became so bizarre.
Ornate arrows with distinctive arrowheads fashioned from a meteorite that fell to Earth thousands of years ago. The metal has an otherworldly quality — dark, slightly iridescent, with carved designs. Multiple arrows exist across the world, each capable of awakening Stands. The Requiem Arrow (used in Part 5) is distinguished by a beetle design on its arrowhead.
