Item from jojos-bizarre-adventure by Hirohiko Araki
A miraculous fruit of equivalent exchange — it heals one thing by petrifying another, and its perfected form can perform the exchange between two people, making it the most coveted object in JoJolion's Morioh.
The Rokakaka is JoJolion's central conflict object. The standard fruit performs equivalent exchange within a single body: eat it and it heals your disease, but petrifies another part of you (heal your eyes, lose your hands to stone). The New Rokakaka — created through the Wall Eyes' fusion properties — performs the exchange between two people: one person is healed, the other turns to stone. This makes it either a miracle cure or a murder weapon depending on who's holding it. Rock Humans control the Rokakaka trade. The Higashikata family needs it to cure Rock Disease. Tooru and the Rock Humans want to monetize it. Everyone in Part 8 is fighting over this fruit and the moral implications of using it.
A distinctive fruit resembling a fig with a rough, knobbed surface. Glows with a faint luminescence when ripe. The New Rokakaka variant (grown from Gappy's fusion process at the Wall Eyes) is visually similar but carries a fundamentally different property. The fruit grows on a specific plant that Rock Humans have cultivated for centuries.
