Rohan Kishibe

Character from jojos-bizarre-adventure by Hirohiko Araki

Morioh's resident manga artist genius — an insufferable narcissist whose obsessive commitment to his craft borders on genuine madness and whose Stand reads people like open books.

Rohan Kishibe is Araki's author-insert turned up to eleven — a manga artist so dedicated to authenticity that he once licked a spider to understand how it tasted for a panel. He views everything and everyone as potential material. His Stand, Heaven's Door, lets him read people's life stories as literal books and write commands into their pages, and Rohan's first instinct with this godlike power is to use it for manga research. He is arrogant, petty, and holds grudges with artistic commitment. He despises Josuke for burning his house down (in self-defense) and never forgives him. But he also saves Morioh multiple times because the town is where he lives and works, and Rohan protects his workspace. His ethics are entirely self-centered but somehow align with heroism — he's not good, he's territorial. Araki loves him enough to give him his own spin-off series (Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan).

Appearance

Slim, sharp-featured young man with an elaborate hairstyle featuring a headband and styled bangs. Wears fashionable, eye-catching outfits — Rohan's wardrobe is the most deliberately stylish in Part 4. Green is his signature color. His expressions range from intense concentration to open contempt. Heaven's Door manifests as a small humanoid figure with a pen, or activates through Rohan's own drawings.
