Burger Mart is where Mark works a minimum-wage job because being a superhero doesn't pay. It's a grounding element — Mark can punch through walls but he still needs to show up for his shift. The contrast between his cosmic responsibilities and his requirement to wear a paper hat and ask 'do you want fries with that?' is both humorous and thematically important. This is the normal life he's trying to protect.
