Item from Invincible by Robert Kirkman
A remotely controlled army of combat machines — Robot's original body, his tactical extension, and eventually his instrument of authoritarian control.
Robot's drones are how he originally interacted with the world — before he had a cloned human body, the drones were his body. Now they serve as his tactical force multiplier, allowing him to be in dozens of places simultaneously. The drones evolve as Robot's ambitions grow: from simple combat units to sophisticated autonomous soldiers to the tools of planetary governance. They are a physical manifestation of Robot's belief that sufficient technology and control can solve any problem.
Humanoid combat robots of various sizes and configurations — the standard model is roughly human-sized with a sleek, metallic finish and glowing sensor eyes. Some are massive combat units; others are small surveillance drones. All are connected to Robot's neural interface and move with coordinated precision.
